How to Make a Vision Board and Write Affirmations

Updated: Sep 23

It's never too early to start your vision board and manifestation journey! If you're a Fall lover like me and don't want to start thinking about winter and the new year yet, use this opportunity to start a vision board to manifest where you'll be next Fall.

A vision board is a tool you can use to plan your life goals, remind you daily of what you're working on, and guide you towards your dream life.

Your vision board can be anything! It can be a Pinterest board, a journal, an actual poster you make and put on your bedroom wall.

Once you have your vision board medium picked out (digital, journal, poster), the next step is to collage together phrases and images that speak to you. It can be anything, even stuff that seems outlandish! If you see a picture of a bag full of cash and you want that for your future, go ahead and grab it!

Your vision board doesn't have to seem realistic. It's supposed to represent your dream life, so go ahead and dream larger than you even think possible!

If you want to use a journal or poster collage for your vision board, you can try to find newspapers and magazines to make a collage with, just like in elementary school! Let your inner child open up during the vision board process.

Since magazines and newspapers aren't always around anymore, it may be cheaper to get a Vision Board Book online - this vision board book has over 800 pictures and phrases you can use in your collage this year and years to come!

This would be perfect to share with your friends and have a vision board party!

Your vision board can include any or every of the following topics:

  • Your dream vacations

  • Your dream career

  • Your dream home

  • Your dream family life

  • Your dream health and wellness goals

  • Quotes that inspire you

  • Quotes that are meaningful to you

  • Ideas to help you get there!

When you vision board is created, the work isn't over yet! If you want to manifest your dream life, it's important to start repeating affirmations every day.

Affirmations are positive statements as if your dreams have already come true!

"I'm working for myself on my passion project."

"I'm living in a mansion by the ocean."

"I am a good person, and I deserve good things to come to me."

"I'm building my dream life every single day."

The easiest way to keep track of your affirmations is to keep a gratitude journal.

The Monk Manual is an un-dated 90-day planner that you can start any time! Along with being a planner, the journal includes daily gratitude journals and weekly mental health check-ins. This is the perfect planner to start writing down your affirmations in and keep a more organized life to help you reach your goals!

Through Sarah's Cozy Life, you can get 20% off your Monk Manual Gratitude Journal and Planner here.

Making a vision board is a fun and reflective activity to do every 6 months or so to check-in with yourself and your life goals! But the real work happens every day.

If you really want to manifest your dream life, you really need to believe in the 24 hours you have each day to make your dreams a reality!
