How to Get Jani's Trashpile in World of Warcraft Patch: The War Within

Updated: 1 day ago

Jani's Trashpile is a new meta-achievement mount coming to World of Warcraft in the 11.0.7 patch. The 11.0.7 release date is December 17th, bringing a new zone - The Siren Isle - as well as new meta-achievement mounts.

Patch 11.0.7 in World of Warcraft: The War Within is bringing new meta-achievement mounts: The Breaker's Song for the Siren Isle, The Shadow of Doubt for The War Within, and Jani's Trashpile for Battle for Azeroth.

Jani's Trashpile is one of the few mounts in World of Warcraft where you physically turn INTO the mount upon summoning. On top of turning into the tiny purple raptor, Jani also holds your main weapon(s) and has a signature soundbite.

This complete guide explains how to fulfill all 18 criteria to complete A Farewell to Arms, the Battle for Azeroth meta-achievement that rewards players with the rare Jani's Trashpile mount.

This rare mount is the reward for completing the Battle for Azeroth meta-achievement A Farewell to Arms, and thankfully some of this achievement's 18 criteria have been nerfed.

Along with the new meta-achievement comes new criteria, meaning that even if you completed BFA when it was current, you will still have to go back to complete some new criteria to complete A Farewell to Arms.

If you're starting BFA from scratch, you'll be excited to know that you'll earn 3 additional mounts from completing these criteria! Completing Undersea Usurper will grant the Snapback Scuttler mount. Completing Mecha-Done will give you the Keys to the Model W mount, and completing Through the Depths of Visions with give you the Black Serpent of N'Zoth mount.

Patch 11.0.7 releases on December 17th and brings more than the Siren Isle. Blizzard also added a new meta-achievement mount for Battle for Azeroth, Jani's Trashpile. This is one of the few mounts where you transform into the mount upon summoning.

Players can also farm out the meta-achievement for The War Within - You Xal Not Pass - rewarding players with the Shadow of Doubt mount.

Uldir

The achievement Uldir requires defeating all the bosses in Uldir, the first raid of Battle for Azeroth. This achievement can be completed on any difficulty, meaning you can you just run through Looking for Raid to fulfill this criterion.

You can queue for BFA LFR with these NPCs: Kiku is the Alliance NPC located in the Snug Harbor Inn in Boralus. Eppu is the Horde NPC located on the second floor of the Great Seal in Dazar'alor. Make sure to queue for all 3 wings to complete the Uldir achievement.

Battle of Dazar'alor

Battle of Dazar'alor is the second raid in BFA, and you can also complete this achievement by running the raid through LFR. You can queue for LFR with the same NPCs as the Uldir raid - Kiku in Boralus and Eppu in Dazar'alor.

This raid has different wing names for the two factions. Alliance players should make sure to complete these three wings: Siege of Dazar'alor, Empire's Fall, and Might of the Alliance. Horde players should make sure to complete these three wings for the achievement: Defense of Dazar'alor, Death's Bargain, and Victory or Death.

Crucible of Storms

This achievement requires completing the third raid, Crucible of Storms, on any difficulty. Players can queue for Crucible of Storms with the same NPCs as the other raids. There is only one wing for the Crucible of Storms with two bosses.

The Eternal Palace

The Eternal Palace is the fourth raid in Battle for Azeroth, and players can queue into this raid with the same NPCs Kiku and Eppu. There are three wings for the Eternal Palace raid - The Grand Reception, Depths of the Devoted, and the Circle of Stars. Completing this raid on LFR will fulfill the criteria for A Farewell to Arms.

Ny'Alotha, the Waking City

This achievement requires also completing the fifth BFA raid - Ny'Alotha, the Waking City - on any difficulty. Players can queue in LFR with the same NPCs, Kiku and Eppu. There are four wings for Ny'Alotha, the Waking City: Vision of Destiny, Halls of Devotion, Gift of Flesh, and The Waking Dream.

Battle for Azeroth Dungeon Hero

The achievement Battle for Azeroth Dungeon Hero requires players to complete all 8 BFA dungeons on Heroic difficulty. If you did M+ in Dragonflight, you would already have 4 out of the 8 completed:

  • Temple of Sethraliss

  • Waycrest Manor

  • Shrine of the Storm

  • Tol Dagor

  • The Underrot

  • Freehold

  • Atal'Dazar

  • The MOTHERLODE!!

I'm On Island Time

The achievement I'm On Island Time requires players to complete 10 other achievements that require both Alliance and Horde characters and requires players to complete almost all of the content in the 6 BFA zones.

Below are the 10 achievements required to fulfill I'm On Island Time. Players can use the achievement tracker in WoW to help identify missing quests and objectives for the achievements below:

  • Hot Tropic - Complete all the achievements in Zuldazar

War Stories

War Stories is a BFA achievement that largely overlaps with the other achievements needed for A Farewell to Arms. This is an achievement that I would recommend ignoring until you've completed everything else, and see if there are any gaps you need to fill in.

Welcome to Zandalar/Come Sail Away - Complete the introductory quests for BFA on either the Horde or Alliance side.

The Fourth War - Complete the War Campaign questline for either Horde or Alliance.

Two Sides to Every Tale - Complete the main stories for both Kul Tiras and Zandalar as both Alliance and Horde

Azerothian Diplomat

Azerothian Diplomat requires players to earn Revered with all of the factions in Kul Tiras and Zandalar for ONE of the factions. You only need to max out your reputation for the factions for either Alliance or Horde, not both.

Thankfully, this criterion will likely be completed automatically because of the other questing done for the other achievements. I would recommend completing all of the other criteria for A Farewell to Arms first. Then come back to this achievement and see if it's not complete yet.

Alliance factions:

  • Proudmoore Admiralty

  • Order of Embers

  • Storm's Wake

  • 7th Legions

  • Champions of Azeroth

  • Tortollan Seekers

Horde factions:

  • Zandalari Empire

  • Talanji's Expedition

  • Voldunai

  • The Honorbound

  • Champions of Azeroth

  • Tortollan Seekers

Expedition Leader

The achievement Expedition Leader requires players to fulfill some other achievements related to Island Expeditions in Battle for Azeroth.

Island Conqueror - Complete every Island Expedition on Mythic difficulty. Island Expeditions are 3-person scenarios. There are 7 total islands and 3 are available every week, meaning this achievement will take a few weeks to complete. You can queue for Island Expeditions with Flynn Fairwind in Boralus or Captain Rez'okun in Dazar'alor.

Azerite Admiral - Collect 1 million Azerite from Island Expeditions. Azerite is a currency that players get after completing each scenario, and 12,000 Azerite is earned from Mythic expeditions. This means players will need to complete 84 Mythic island expeditions for this achievement.

Give Me the Energy - Collect 30 globes of Azerite from Island Expeditions. Azerite Energy orbs drop from completing activities during Island Expeditions like killing rares or completing events. You will easily collect 30 globes while farming Azerite.

Tell Me A Tale - Complete 10 Island Expedition quests. This is one of the achievements that was nerfed with patch 11.0.7. This achievement used to require completing all 22 Island Expedition quests.

Metal Detector - Loot 100 Seafarer's Dubloon. These Dubloons are gold coins on the ground that can be looted during Island Expeditions.

I'm Here for the Pets - Collect 15 pets from Island Expeditions. This achievement used to require collecting every pet that drops from Island Expeditions, but it was nerfed to 15. Players can purchase these pets on the Auction House instead of running expeditions.

15 of the potential pets are: Scuttle, Captain Nibs, Barnaby, Poro, Octopode Fry, Inky, Sparkleshell Sandcrawler, Kindleweb Spiderling, Craghoof Kid, False Knucklebump, Tinder Pup, Sandshell Chitterer, Deathsting Scorpid, Giggling Flame, Laughing Stonekin.
