How to Farm the Rare Soaring Meaderbee Mount in World of Warcraft: The War Within

Updated: Oct 4

The Soaring Meaderbee is a new mount available in World of Warcraft: The War Within for the price of 900 Sizzling Cinderpollen. This concise guide has everything you need to know to obtain the Soaring Meaderbee along with player to tips to help with this 900-item farm!

If you've tried the new dungeons in The War Within, you've probably enjoyed the short ride on Meaderbees in Cinderbrew Meadery. Thankfully, there's a similar mount you can farm outside of the dungeon to have your own Meaderbee to keep!

Unlike the rare Siesbarg mount, you don't need to pick up a quest to start farming the Soaring Meaderbee. All you need to do is kill elite bees around the area West of Cinderbrew Meadery and loot their Sizzling Cinderpollen.

Shortly after The War Within released, players soon discovered that the wolves around Cinderbrew Meadery also drop the Sizzling Cinderpollen.

Note that only elite bees drop the Sizzling Cinderpollen. The smaller bees along with the slime mobs in the same area won't drop the needed item. In the forest to the West of Cinderbrew Meadery, you'll see several different kinds of bees, slimes, and wolves. The Persistent Honeyslimes and Gargantuan Honeyslimes don't drop the Sizzling Cinderpollen. On top of that, they have a ton of health and hit hard, so it's best to stay away from them!

The Cinderbee Workers, Cinderbee Foragers, Cinderbee Buzzers, Cinderbee Drones, and Cinderbee Knights are all elite mobs that drop the Sizzling Cinderpollen, along with the Tempest Wolves, Rustcloud Runts, and Cyclonecrier Alpha wolves.

Although 900 Sizzling Cinderpollen sounds like a lot, it pales in comparison to the 3000 bug parts needed for Siesbarg, making this a relatively easy mount to farm in comparison!

To make this mount farm easier, you should look for a group to join in Group Finder! Simply open group finder and go to Premade Groups. Choose Custom and search for "bee" in the search bar. You will probably already see a dozen of bee/wolf farming groups listed. Request to join one that has less than 5 members, and you should be quickly accepted!

The Soaring Meaderbee farm is also a great opportunity to level up your skinning profession. The wolves that drop the Sizzling Cinderpollen can also be skinned for leather. In my experience farming the mount, there were always people following us around to skin the wolves. I definitely recommend joining a group in Group Finder to make it easier to tag mobs and easily collect the 900 Sizzling Cinderpollen!

If you have a hunter, you may also want to use this opportunity to tame all the unique bees and wolves in the area. This forest is also home to several rares like Sweetspark the Oozeful, Tephrattenae, and Matriarch Charfuria.

With a good tank, it should take only 1-2 hours to collect all 900 Sizzling Cinderpollen. If you play by yourself, it could take more like 3-4 hours.

Once you have collected all 900 Sizzling Cinderpollen, go to Cendvin, an Earthen NPC to purchase the Reins of the Soaring Meaderbee. He is found in the Isle of Dorn outside of Cinderbew Meadery, and if you are having trouble finding him, you can check these coordinates.

Now you have the Reins of the Soaring Meaderbee, a small and fast flying mount that is account bound. This means you only have to purchase the mount once to be able to use it on all of your characters!

The Reins of the Soaring Meaderbee is the only thing available for purchase with the Sizzling Cinderpollen, so there's no reason to farm past nine hundred before visiting the vendor. Cendvin also sells the Recipe for Cinder Nectar, a recipe that is helpful if you want to level up your cooking skill! The NPC also sells several other drinks including Cinderbrew Mead, Titanshake, Magmalaid, Lava Cola, and Quicksilver Sipper.

While you're near Cinderbrew Meadery, you might also be interested in collecting Bop, the adorable battle bet bee with a cowboy hat. The pet is definitely a nod to the anime Cowboy Bebop.

The companion has a 4% drop rate off the last boss in Cinderbrew Meadery - Goldie Baronbottom. The pet has the same drop rate across all dungeon difficulties, meaning you can try to get it while doing Mythic+ or just doing the dungeon on Follower mode!
