How to Farm the Rare Siesbarg Mount in World of Warcraft: The War Within

Updated: 2 days ago

This rare giga bug mount is literally bigger than Fyrakk, and a whole lot harder to get too. Here's a complete guide with player tips to get Siesbarg in World of Warcraft: The War Within!

This guide provides tips to make this mount farm a little more bearable. There are 4 main steps to the quest chain Consolation Files that results in the Siesbarg mount:

  • Obtain the Vile of Tka'ktath's Blood

  • Complete the quest Those are Chitin Words - 1500 Nerubian Chitin

  • Complete the quest Venom? More Like Get 'Em - 1000 Nerubian Venom

  • Complete the quest A Small Ocean's Worth of Blood - 500 Nerubian Blood

Although farming 3,000 bug parts probably wasn't on your to-do list this week, the end result is the very rare Siesbarg mount. Standing taller than Fyrakk, Siesbarg is a behemoth bug that is bound to impress other players around you.

Here are the best tips I have from my mount-farming experience to help make the process a little easier:

Step 1: Obtain the Vile of Tka'ktath's Blood. Tka'ktath is a rare elite mob that spawns in Azj-Kahet near the City of Threads. If you don't already have Rare Scanner downloaded through CurseForge mods, now is the time to download it. Rare Scanner is helpful for finding all the rare spawns throughout Azeroth, and it'll show you all the spawn points for Tka'ktath.

Tka'ktath spawns every 6-11 hours. This makes obtaining the quest item the hardest part of getting Siesbarg. The easiest way to get this quest item is to hang out near the spawn point online and find something else to do. Find something to watch on TV and keep your character from going AFK and logging out.

If you notice the phrase "The shadow of a hungering beast moves over the city," appear in General Chat, then you know he is about to spawn! You can also look for custom groups in group finder and try to get into a Tka'ktath waiting room. If you are able to kill Tka'ktath, there's a 70% chance of the quest item dropping.

Hopefully the vial of blood drops for you and you're ready for step 2!

Step 2: Complete Those are Chitin Words. Once you turn in the Vial of Tka'ktath's Blood, you're tasked with collecting 1500 Nerubian chitin. The easiest way to do this is to get into a group. Go to Custom in Group Finder and you should see plenty of cave/chitin custom groups that are looking for more people!

There's a small cave near Dornogol where Nerubians hyper-spawn. After you get into a group, it'll take between 3 and 4 hours to farm 1500 chitin. (Smile.)

Step 3: Complete Venom? More Like Get 'Em. After farming 1500 chitin, you're given a quest to farm an additional 1000 Nerubian venom. The best place to get venom? Back to the cave. With half of the bug parts already done, 1000 Nerubian venom will feel a little better, and take between 2-3 hours to farm.

Step 4: Complete A Small Ocean's Worth of Blood. You're finally on the last leg of the quest with only 500 bug parts left to go! Finally, you're tasked with obtaining 500 Nerubian blood which only drops off of elite mobs.

This means instead of going back to the cave, you should queue into a Follower Dungeon for Ara-Kara, City of Echoes. Make sure you don't toggle the Dungeon Assistance, so you stay the leader of your group. This allows you to tag every mob in the dungeon.

You should get between 80-100 Nerubian Blood per run of Ara-Kara, meaning you should be ready for 5-7 loops of the dungeon. Once you finish a dungeon run, you can simply re-queue in group finder. For more information about how to navigate Follower Dungeons, Wowhead's guide is here.

After turning in the Nerubian Blood, you'll be rewarded with Siesbarg! See Wowhead's guide on this mount here! Congrats, you have a rare bug mount even bigger than Fyrakk.
