Blackrock Depths is a new special raid event releasing on October 22nd for World of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary. This isn't an exact replica of the classic raid but will be an 8-boss instance available on LFR, Normal, and Heroic difficulties, and will drop current level loot! Here's everything you need to know about the WoW 20th Anniversary Blackrock Depths Raid:
The WoW 20th Anniversary Blackrock Depths raid in World of Warcraft: The War Within will feature 8 bosses, be available on 3 difficulties, and will drop 4 level tiers of loot. Here is the boss order for the new Blackrock Depths raid:
Blackrock Depths Bosses
Boss 1: Lord Roccor
Boss 2: Bael'Gar
Boss 3: Lord Incendius
Boss 4: Golem Lord Argelmach
Boss 5: The Seven
Boss 6: General Angerforge
Boss 7: Ambassador Flamelash
Boss 8: Emperor Dagran Thaurissan
The new Blackrock Depths raid will be available on LFR, Normal, and Heroic difficulties. Raid finder will drop Veteran track loot, Normal raid will drop Champion track loot, and Heroic will drop Hero track loot, with the final boss dropping 619 item level gear!
Although there is not a Mythic level difficulty for this WoW anniversary event, players can get up to Hero-track loot. The new Blackrock Depths raid will also drop Timewarped Relic Coffer Keys that work similar to Dinars. These keys will allow players to choose specific raid loot after completing the raid.
Players can quickly access the Celebration Area and the Blackrock Depths raid by taking a portal to either Stormwind or Orgrimmar from Dornogol, and then take the portal to the Caverns of Time. Then, talk to Moira Thaurissan to portal to the raid.
Moira also offers a weekly quest to clear the raid on any difficulty. The Bronze Celebration Cache of Treasures rewards players with a Champion level piece of loot and a Restored Coffer Key.
Timewarped Relic Coffer Keys
The new Blackrock Depths raid in World of Warcraft: The War Within will drop Timewarped Relic Coffer Keys, allowing players to choose specific items from the raid. Each difficulty will drop Timewarped Relic Coffer Keys for loot of that raid's difficulty.
This means that Raid Finder will drop Coffer Keys to redeem for Veteran track loot. Normal raid will give keys that can be used to purchase Champion track loot, and Heroic raid will drop Timewarped Relic Coffer Keys that can be used to purchase Heroic track loot.
Each main boss will drop 3 Relic Keys, and each mini boss will drop 1-2 keys each. However, there is a limitation to Timewarped Relic Coffer Keys: only 120 keys in total will drop from each difficulty.
Since each raid item costs 40 Timewarped Relic Coffer Keys, players will be able to purchase 3 raid items on each difficulty. These Timewarped Relic Coffer Keys are character bound, meaning players can collect 120 keys on as many characters as they want.
There will be 3 vendors located in Tanaris in the celebration area, in front of the Dark Iron Mole Machine that will be selling raid loot:
Braggi Brazenbrass sells LFR loot at item level 584 Veteran 1/8
Kraegan Emberforge sells Normal loot at item level 597 Champion 1/8
Hilda Hellforge sells Heroic loot at item level 610 Hero 1/6
