All of the World of Warcraft 20th Anniversary Events, Items, and Achievements Starting on October 22nd

World of Warcraft is celebrating its 20th anniversary with events starting October 22nd and going all the way until January 7th. Starting October 22nd, Blizzard is dropping huge content updates for The War Within including new currencies, new vendors, as well as legacy transmogs, pets, and mounts that players can collect.

World of Warcraft is celebrating its 20th anniversary on November 23rd, 2024, and to celebrate 20 years of expansions, raids, and dungeons, the game is dropping new content for players to enjoy. Below are details for all of the anniversary events, new currencies, new and returning anniversary items, and all of the vendors for these events.

Anniversary Events:

Starting on October 22nd, players can immediately start enjoying the anniversary events, like the return of the Blackrock Depths raid. This classic raid has been reimagined as a 10-15 player raid and will be available on LFR, Normal, and Heroic difficulties.

There will also be new Timewalking dungeons featuring classic maps like Dreadmines, Dire Maul, and Stratholmes. Players will also be able to defeat legacy world bosses to collect celebration tokens. For the first week of this anniversary event, the returning world bosses are the Sha of Anger from Mists of Pandaria and Archavon the Stonewatch from Wrath of the Lich King.

Players will be able to enjoy a festival located outside the Caverns of Time, featuring plenty of tents, vendors, and fun mini events like Mount Match and Fashion Frenzy.

Finally, there's a new scenario called Revisiting the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj. This is a 10-20 player scenario that will be available in Group Finder. Chromie is using a codex to help players revisit the past, where they'll need to defend Azeroth against Scourge, Legion, and Qiraji. Furthermore, Tichondrius, Ossirian, and Kel'Thuzad will be available as legacy world bosses.

New Currencies available for Anniversary Items:

Starting October 22nd, WoW players will be able to collect three new currencies to use to buy nostalgic mounts and other gear. Bronze Celebration Tokens are used to purchase Anniversary items and Tier 2 transmog sets.

Bronze celebration tokens can be earned from completing the following events:
