Path of Exile 2 is releasing in Early Access on December 6th at 11 AM PST, and the game's developers say PoE 2 could be in early access for as long as 6 months, maybe longer. If you want to experience PoE's highly anticipated sequel, you can purchase a supporter pack for as little at $30 to get early access.
PoE 2's full game will feature 6 acts and 12 classes with 3 different ascendancies, letting players try up to 36 different specs. With a skill tree containing over 1500 interconnected nodes, PoE 2 will offer the most customizable ARPG experience ever.
Path of Exile just released the 12 ascendancies the game will start with in Early Access: Stormweaver, Chronomancer, Titan, Warbringer, Deadeye, Pathfinder, Blood Mage, Infernalist, Witchhunter, Gemling Legionnaire, Invoker, and Acolyte of Chayula.
Here are details for all 12 PoE 2 ascendancies releasing with Early Access:
PoE 2 will be releasing 6 classes in Early Access, with 2 specializations (or ascendancies) with each:
The Sorceress - Stormweaver and Chronomancer
The Warrior - Titan and Warbringer
The Ranger - Deadeye and Pathfinder
The Witch - Blood Mage and Infernalist
The Mercenary - Witchhunter and Geming Legionnaire
The Monk - Invoker and Acolyte of Chayula
Each ascendancy will start with 8-10 nodes that grant players powerful abilities. Here are the main abilities players can expect from each PoE 2 ascendancy:
Stormweaver - This sorceress ascendancy gets the passive ability Elemental Storm. This ability creates a stationary storm made of either Fire, Cold, or Lightning based on the type of elemental damage that triggers the passive ability. At the next node, players will unlock 150% cooldown reduction for Elemental Storms.
Later in the tree, Stormweavers will unlock Arcane Surge, a passive that grants 10% more Cast Speed and 20% more Mana Regeneration rate. Finally, Stormweavers will get Heart of the Storm and convert 40% of the Elemental Damage they deal into an Energy Shield for themselves.
Chronomancer - This sorceress ascendancy is the master of time, and their first unlocked skill is Now and Again, giving skills a 33% chance to not consume a cooldown when used. Chronomancers also unlock Time Snap - the ability to reset cooldowns,
Time Freeze - a large wave that stops enemies, and Temporal Rift - the ability to jump back to an after image of yourself. This ability works a lot like Alter Time in WoW - you can jump back to a previous version of yourself, resetting your life and shield.
Titan - This Warrior ascendancy builds on the Titan image. Become bigger and stronger with increased equipment load and increased maximum life. The initial ability is Stone Skin, granting players 50% increases armor.
This ascendancy tree builds on the player's ability to stun enemies and increase damage to those stunned enemies. The final node Mysterious Lineage grants 15% more maximum life.
Warbringer - This unique Warrior ascendancy allows players to call on their ancestors and build stacks of a boon called Encase in Jade. You gain a stack of Jade every second, and you can use the spell Encase in Jade to absorb all damage for a limited time. Meanwhile, you become a Jade statue and can't move.
In the next nodes, you learn to summon totems that call forth ancestral spirit minions to fight for you. The later nodes - Warcaller's Bellow and Greatwolf's Howl - cause corpses around you to explode dealing damage to enemies.
Deadeye - This Ranger ascendancy builds your frenzy and reduces accuracy penalties when shooting from a distance. The Deadeye gets the ability Tailwind, a stacking buff that grants 1% movement speed, 3% speed skill, and 15% evasion every stack for 10 seconds.
Pathfinder - This Ranger ascendancy is the closest to a Rogue build. The Pathfinder brews concoctions, buffs their life flask, and applies poison to enemies. Contagious Contamination spreads your dangerous poisons to other enemies in a mob, and the Pathfinder unlocks additional flask charges, additional passive skill points, and more movement speed.
Blood Mage - This Witch ascendancy gains the skill Life Remnants. Drinking the blood of your enemies restores your life, and a Life Remnant has a random chance to spawn. Life Remnants allow you to overflow your maximum life.
Blood Mages quickly unlock Leech, Bleeding Magnitude, and an Energy Shield as extra maximum life. Sunder the Flesh makes your base critical hit chance for spells 15%.
Infernalist - This Witch ascendancy allows you to transform into a Demon. The Infernalist gets Demon Form, allowing you to shapeshift into a demon and do massive damage. Your health steadily decreases while in demon form and you revert back to human at 1 health.
The Infernalist is also able to summon Infernal Hounds, deal massive fire damage, and grant your allies 20% fire damage as well.
Witchhunter - This Mercenary ascendancy gets the skill Sorcery Ward. Witchhunters will get a constantly regenerating protective barrier that absorbs elemental damage.
Witchhunters also get Culling Strike - executing enemies that are below 30% life, Decimating Strike that removes 5-30% of life from full health enemies, and Concentration - lowering your enemies' cooldown recovery.
Gemling Legionnaire - This Mercenary ascendancy equips gems to attain different buffs. Legionnaires get a base 10% buff to all of their skills, +1 level to all their skills, and 30% less cost to their skills.
Then this class can equip different colored Support Gems that can increase their resistances, Intelligence, Strength, and Dexterity.
Invoker - This Monk Ascendancy gets increased Spirit, Evasion, and an Energy Shield recharged through meditation. Meditate allows players to double their energy shield. Unbound Avatar allows players to transcend for a short time, dealing massive damage to enemies.
Unbound Avatar will be charged by dealing Elemental Damage. Elemental Expression is the Invoker's ultimate ability, unleashing a storm with a fiery explosion, a bolt of lightning, and a wave of icy projectiles.
Acolyte of Chayula - The other Monk ascendancy leans into darkness, chaos, and leech. Instead of recharging their energy shield, Acolytes of Chayula gain instant mana leech that recovers their sheilds.
Acolytes also have the growing chance to deal extra chaos damage and eventually replaces their Spirit with Darkness. The Flames of Chayula grant players buffs - either giving back life, mana, or giving players a stacking buff granting Chaos damage.
