This book by Megan Bannen was one of my favorite reads in 2023, and is the perfect combination of silly and serious! Hart is a marshal, tasking with patrolling a wild and dangerous land, and Mercy is the local undertaker who can't stay away from him even if she tries.

The Undermining of Twyla and Frank is the next book in the Hart and Mercy series that just released this year! This sequel is a heartwarming friends to lovers romance between another couple in the Hart and Mercy universe. The third and final book in the series releases in July 2025.

The Ornithologist's Field Guide to Love is a historical rom-com with Indiana Jones vibes by India Holton. This heartwarming romance is perfect for bird lovers who also love enemies to friends romance!

A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking by T. Kingfisher is a delightful read about a young witch who can only channel her magic into the bread she's breaking. When she finds out an assassin is loose in her town, she must find a creative way to use her magic to save the day!
